WET - but... FUN!
It goes without saying how amazingly proud and happy we are to have such a fantastic gathering of wonderful people to join us for the Epic Weekender!
Staff were on Site very early Friday to set up the Safe Zone Building, Shooting Ranges, Car Park Layout and Game Area. Armoured Vehicles were in play both days and that also meant extra time and attention to detail to ensure they had plenty of fuel and were good to go!
The change in the Weather was very unfortunate... 3 Months with NO RAIN and then just when we needed nice Weather, it decided to catch up and hammer it down! We had over 100 Cancelled bookings due to the rain, so a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who still supported the Event.

SATURDAY:
Tents were erected and we could see and hear lots of laughter and chatting while everyone was getting ready for the very much appreciated morning safety brief!
The Gameplay was Fantastic, the Night Game was a blast and the feedback was great!
Jake (WST) came up with the brilliant idea of running an Auction! Such a great idea and glad to see some people came away with a bargain!
TwoFourDelta Surplus complimented White Sphere Tactical for retail needs!
White Sphere Tactical also ran several EPIC Raffles with amazing prizes!

Saturday Gameplay was intense and there were lots of very good tactical pushes from both Sides.
Saturday evening banter and Camping was spot on!
Thank you ALL for supporting the relaxed Camping experience!

SUNDAY
We had 148 reinforcements join us on Sunday and Gameplay was very good as well! The Weather was almost perfect. As you can see in the photos, Airsoft is so much better with nicer Weather! Lots of fun, banter and shooting!
We also had some FUN in the Arena!
Well done to the Winners!

For me personally (Tony), I still pinch myself to think how lucky I am to see you all come along to Rift and share your time with us. Thank you all so very, very much.
I hope you had as much fun as I did and I know the Rift Crew had an amazing time too! Huge thank you to the CATERING Crew who kept us fed and well looked after all weekend!

The Site is amazing and you can see by looking at the Photos that it was a very enjoyable day indeed!
Apologies for the Electric failing in the main building... The Army fixed it on Monday! These things happen from time to time... sorry!

Firstly, a massive "THANK YOU" to everyone for their support and best wishes regarding the Medical Emergency during the Safety Brief.
With some quick thinking and Medical Training by several awesome people on Site, the individual was quickly looked after until the Ambulance arrived.
Thankfully we can report that he made a speedy recovery in Hospital and went home the same day!

Thanks again to all involved!

The first 2 Games we had planned had to be changed to accommodate the Ambulance arrival, which meant we had to play the "Top Half" of the land... This made for a challenging and BUSY experience and caused us to over run time for the 4pm ENDEX.

The Heat did get to a few people (as expected - it is SO hot at the moment!) and later in the afternoon several nasty fires broke out!!
One fire was right near the end of the day which resulted in the Marshal Team being called over, so we failed to "Man the Main Gate" around 4pm. Apologies to anyone who had to wait at the Gate - the Marshal Team were flat out!

With 180 players and LOTS that can go wrong, we still had a great time and really appreciate EVERYONE who books in to play at REDCON-2!

WOW! What a great day!

It is VERY hard to show how good The RIDGE is for Airsoft, especially BATTLE-SIM! It was (once again) a VERY HOT day but thankfully there were no issues and everyone kept hydrated and paced themselves!

Battle-Sim Events can grant you some of the BEST memories and experiences possible in regards to Airsoft! It is challenging and VERY rewarding!
Teamwork makes the dream work and that certainly did happen!

I will be getting a Report from Jake very soon!

Great turnout with LOTS of NEW players to REDCON-2!
We all hope you had a great time (36 Hire Weapons!)

Feedback was very good from both sides and the Games flowed really well.
Some of the Marshals were "off duty" and played alongside you all.
It's nice to see them get into the Action and having FUN!

What a GREAT DAY! Thank you all for coming along!
We had a bit of a shock when the MoD told us there was another Event Booked in by accident, so we had to "share" the Safe Zone and Car Park!
Sadly it didn't leave us much room - BUT - thanks to your support, we all managed to get parked! (it was a bit "tight" - sorry!)

The Weather was nice and cool (tough a bit windy at times) but it was very comfortable to play compared to the HOT weather had 2 weeks before!
A few BRAVE people decided to "Run The Gauntlet" to celebrate 2 Birthdays and I do believe they regretted every second!

Great sportsmanship and a VERY friendly group of lovely people made the day and we all had a bit of Fun with the new Game Mode to bring things to an end!

Nice to see new faces at Rift - we really appreciate you coming along and spending the day with us... we really hope you had a great time!

"Shift Your Rifts 2026" came to a close on Sunday at around 5pm. What an absolutely FANTASTIC weekend!
Ok... it was WAY TOO HOT - but, we still had lots of Fun!

I was chatting with the Rifty Team throughout the Event & they were all so very happy to see everyone enjoying themselves.
I would like to thank all of the Traders who made a huge effort to support SYR2026 & stick with it through the heat!

Some Traders didn't make the Event after all, which is a great shame as we had the Maps printed and worked hard to ensure the space we had was marked out in advance.
Apologies for the gaps between stalls... I will try to think of a better way to avoid this happening next year...

As I mentioned at the Weekend, an Event like this has so many moving parts and actually takes months of planning and prep with the "hope" that everything comes together!

Behind the scenes there are MANY talented people who have helped so much to ensure everything runs as well as it can!
They know who they are and I extend a massive "THANK YOU"
Mumma Rift (Hazel Whitmarsh) is the real driving force behind ensuring everything is in place!
The Marshal Crew are a dedicated bunch of amazing people that REALLY CARE about you guys and work very hard to ensure you have a great time! I find it hard to express how proud I am of the RIFT Marshal Team (I am sure they know!)
The HOT Weather certainly created a few issues but luckily there were no MAJOR issues!

We had Tom from Rescue Medical Solutions on Site with his Ambulance and he was rather busy this Year!
Tom is great guy and keeps us all as safe as can be!
Heat also causes issues with Joule creep & higher FPS for certain RIFS. The safe thing to do was keep re-chronoing and identifying anything had had started to creep up!
We really appreciated everyone's support and I am sure you will agree that Safety has to be priority!

The Catering Crews kept us all fed and watered!
Yes, a second run of Bottled Water was needed to keep the Fridges topped up, but we didn't run out at any time.
The spare Water in the Amoured Vehicles was very well received by those who needed it and we kept it topped up!

Special thanks to Andy and his Team from the Fire Power Show who supplied is with 2 Spartan CVRTs to play with!

There were several Media/Photo/Drone peeps on Site too and I am really looking forward to seeing the footage and photos they have.
The Rift Crew took photos too and I will get them uploaded very soon to the Rift Gallery!

The White Sphere Tournament was great fun too... Congrats to the Winners!
The Arena had actually been dismantled by the MoD some months before so we had a bit of a panic to get it rebuilt in time!
The Revolver Pistol Duels was also very popular as always!

I would personally like to THANK EVERYONE who played, visited and supported SYR 2026! Without you, we would not exist!

REDCON-2 has planning for a Housing estate in the near future, so, we must all enjoy it while we can!
So... another Shifty Rifty has passed and I must say, I think it was my favourite so far!
I think we can all agree that the best thing we had on Site was the SHOWER of cool water that kept us going! It was such a simple idea but made a huge difference (seeing as we only knew about the incoming heat wave at short notice!)

We run Games every two weeks at REDCON-2, so, maybe see you there!?
