    Details;

    So...... what is RiftSim?

    In Principle;
    This RiftSim plans to deliver a new experience for existing RiftSim & Skirmish players that are looking to immerse themselves in a more tactical and slower paced form of Airsoft compared to our regular Skirmish days.
    The Scenarios are being written and directed by our very own "Jake Yorke" - a Serving Soldier (3 PARA) with 9 years experience, countless hours of "hands on" Military Deployment & Ops.
    Regardless of experience anyone 18 and over can take part but must maintain a sense of role play and maturity throughout the day.
    The idea is to “look the part” so Military Spec Tactical Camouflage and Authentic Looking Equipment is required.

    The Weekend is yours and you decide how it’s won!
    (NO SINGLE DAY PLAY!) We Camp and FIGHT!
    This RiftSim will be held at THE RIDGE and will be capped to 60 Participants in total.

    Site Info:
    This Site is know as "Devils Pit" - a well known 4X4 course!
    Huge slopes, rolling hills, steep terrain with Woodland.
    The land is over 40 ACRES in Size and complements all Airsoft Roles.
    We add Vehicles into the Mix too

    Basic Setup..........

    Players and player cap;
    Age 18+ (Please contact me if any experienced under 18's with to take part)
    2 TEAMS - ALPHA v's DELTA
    26 per Team – 52 total + an 8 Man XRAY Element (Special Forces?) = 60 Total.
    MARSHALS will dress as TEAM PLAYERS (so as to NOT ruin the immersion)
    MARSHALS will also be active in certain parts of the Event.

    Teams will be split into 3 Sections:
    TEAM LEADER with One 2ic (2nd in command)
    1 SECTION – Scout/Infiltrate/Quick Reaction Force (QRF)
    2 SECTION – Build/Rear Guard/Forward Support/Scout/Com’s Hacking
    3 SECTION – Mortars/Explosives/Traps/TOXIC Grenades

    SECTTIONS can break into "4 Man Fire Teams" for added flexibility in Battle.
    If not already selected, TEAM LEADERS will assign CALL SIGNS & Section Commanders to each SECTION on the day.

    Each Team will have one Team Leader (TL), one 2nd in Command (2iC) & 3 SECTION Commander (SC)
    Team Leaders (TL) will brief their SECTION Commanders (SC) before the Mission commences. Each SECTION Commander (SC) will then take their Squad out to the Battlefield and get to work. The Team Leader (TL) will oversee the Battle and communicate between his SECTIONS and adapt as necessary. One Medic (M) per SECTION will ensure that help is always nearby.
    It is VERY important to note that squads MUST stick together. Players may NOT break off and do their own thing.

    All Players must remain with their SECTION at all times and act under command form their (TL) or (SC). SECTION Commanders & (TL) reserve the right to split SECTIONS into "Fire Teams". Any Player wandering away (without permission) from their Team will be AWOL and removed from the Mission! Keep within 15 Meters from your SECTION (not including (TL) who can go anywhere!

    Field Equipment & Clothing;
    ALPHA TEAM; CAMOUFLAGE Combat Uniform must be worn. Any official camouflage is fine, preferably matching long sleeve Jacket and Trouser.

    DELTA TEAM; Dark or Light Coloured Clothing (no pattern) long sleeve Jacket and Trouser, preferably the same colour. No Jogging Bottoms/Sportswear please.
    Camo pattern Vest/Tac Rig or Pouches CAN be worn.

    No 2-Tone Weapons or unrealistic equipment.
    STRICTLY - NO TRAINERS.

    There are No Armbands – stick to your squad, know your Team!

    Both Teams will have to BUILD a COMMAND POST.
    At your COMMAND POST we recommend several Small 1 Man Tents/Basha/Tarpaulin for evening sleep/rest etc.

    Boots, helmets and communication devices are very welcome and essential for the role of Team Leader (TL) and SECTION Commander (SC)
    Go-Pro’s and similar video recording devices are also welcome.
    Bergen’s, backpacks, tactical rigs, plate carriers etc are highly recommended for carrying equipment and adding to the overall look.
    General rule is - Maximum Military Equipment you own to be carried and used – look the part.

    PLEASE SEE PHOTO's ABOVE FOR KIT REFERENCE

    AMMO;
    A player may carry 1 Hi-Cap Magazine OR
    5 Mid Cap Magazines OR
    8 Low Cap Magazines.
    Snipers 100 rounds per Life
    3 Pistol Mags Per Player (4 for Snipers)
    Or
    Shotgun x 3 Shells
    3 x 40mm rounds (if owned)
    Average of 400 rounds can be carried per player (except Support Gunners and Snipers)
    Reload areas will be made available if your Team manages to secure an area and build an Ammo Caché!
    Support Gunners may fill the capacity of their electric magazine but may not reload until the end of the Mission.

    Other Rules;
    Reload only at your COMMAND POST (CP) OR Captured Ammo Caché – Your Designated SECTION will build your COMMAND POST (CP) and camouflage its existence from the Enemy.

    Reloading is done as a SECTION, so watch those rounds! If 50% or more of your Squad is out of ammo, you must all fall back with your SECTION to reload!
    Semi Auto Fire at all times unless your (TL) or (SC) commands you to switch to Full Auto.
    Support Gunners 2 per Team
    Snipers 3 per Team
    (all must have a side arm) 30 metre engagement.

    Players are asked to bring food, snacks and drink to last 32 Hours in the field.
    Eat when your (SC) or (TL) orders you too!
    SAFEZONE IS OFF LIMITS (emergency only) = NO LITTERING PLEASE!

    Snipers & Spotters;
    MUST stick with their SECTION within reason - no More than 60M away & must have Coms (either visual or radio)
    They are free to move, dig in and disappear but must always stay in touch with their SECTION.

    Scenario’s;
    The day will commence after a re-cap on game rules and safety brief at approx 10am. There will be NO official break until ENDEX at approx 2pm Sunday afternoon!

    SNACKS & DRINK WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE SATURDAY MORNING (Top up your Bergen!)

    Role-Play;
    We are looking for players to “immerse” themselves in a Realistic SECTION Based Tactical Combat Environment. We actively ask everyone who takes part to respect their (SC) & (TL) and follow orders without question.

    Medics;
    3 Medics per Team. Medics are the only players that can get their players back into the action. They will be given a certain amount of medical bandages – they can run out.
    To “fix up” a player they must make their way to the patient and apply the bandage to the wrist of the patient. A count of 20 (must be verbal) once the bandage is applied. Only then can the patient continue to fight.
    Medics can heal themselves & each other & they can also heal the enemy.

    Hit Taking/Re-Gen Rules;
    Players must take all hits on their body/limbs and equipment (NOT Weapon) as a WOUND. Players must simulate the hit, fall to the ground and call for a MEDIC.
    At this point, a MEDIC may apply a bandage to the injured Player. If the player needs to be moved, the MEDIC can move the player to safety by placing one hand on the player and "dragging" him or her to safety (20 metres max)

    Once the bandage is applied, the Player may continue to fight.

    If a Player is hit again, the same process of simulating the hit must be applied. The injured player can call for a MEDIC again. The Medic will have Bandages and Morphine Sticks. The Bandages can be re-used but the Morphine Sticks have a “one time use” once “snapped” onto the Wounded Player - so use them WISELY!

    Medics only have limited Morphine Jabs for the whole day and will most likely be best used in a crisis situation.
    Morphine Jabs are simulated by the use of coloured wooden sticks – they must be broken on the player and then discarded.
    Medics may use Morphine as many times necessary on an injured comrade to keep that player in the Battle!
    There is a good chance that the MEDIC will refuse to treat you!
    If this happens you will become incapacitated!
    (an incapacitated player cannot move or shoot!)

    All incapacitated/dead players must wait on the battlefield and ROLEPLAY as severely wounded OR dead!
    Once your MEDIC runs out of supplies & your Squad can no longer function – your SC will order you ALL back to your (CP) Once you are at your (CP) please REMOVE your Bandage(s) and give them to your MEDIC!

    We cannot stress how important MEDICS and their equipment is to your Squad!
    It’s the toughest role to play and will take courage, skill and determination to complete!
    Look after your MEDICS!!

  2. #2
    Knife Kill;
    Rubber Training Knives are permitted and encouraged. Throwing a training knife is also permitted but care must be taken as to not injure any player. A player hit or touched by the knife is instantly dead and cannot be helped by a Medic (M)
    You must physically have a rubber knife with you to make a kill – unlike Skirmish where you can use your hand to “simulate” a kill. Any items such as wooden spoons, spatula’s, sickles, katana’s or other various makeshift knives are not permitted.

    Props & Pyro;
    BFG’s allowed up to 12 gauge blanks. Underarm throw for heavy BFG’s.
